College football season is about to start. That means everybody is rolling out their playoff and national championship predictions.FS1’s Skip Bayless revealed his choice this morning. As usual, Bayless is zigging while everyone else zags. Most prognosticators are picking Alabama or Clemson this year. Bayless is going with Michigan.“I’m going to actually have some guts here,” Bayless said. “I’m going to take the long shot. I’m going to take the team that plays the toughest schedule in the country this year. I’m going to take 14th-ranked Michigan. And you know why I’m going to do it? I’m going to put my pride out on the table and have courage in my predictions, because I told you last week that Jim Harbaugh is a better all-around, proven head football coach than Nick Saban.”You can see all of Bayless’ analysis below.“I’m going to have some guts here… I’m going to take the team that plays the toughest schedule in the country this year; I’m going to take 14th ranked @UMichFootball.” — @RealSkipBayless pic.twitter.com/uVtqA7Jks6— UNDISPUTED (@undisputed) August 28, 2018Bayless’ pick is bold, but it isn’t out of the question. Six ESPN panelists put Michigan in their playoff field, with one–Wolverine legend Desmond Howard–picking the Maize and Blue to win it all.Michigan’s schedule is likely its biggest obstacle. The Wolverines have to play Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State. Yikes. They kick things off with the Fighting Irish this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
